A mattress is a major purchase, not only because of cost but also because of the amount of time you‘ll be sleeping on it. If you‘re thinking of buying a top quality mattress and are considering buying a Jamison mattress, here are some things you should know.
The memory foam mattress has seen a unique rise in recognition. Less conforming traditional foam - or latex - toppers can also be found but neither possess the viscoelastic heat sensitive property that makes memory foam so comfortable. Open celled memory foam is typically the preferred type. This means that the cells (air bubble) are not closed but are interconnected to one another. This is commonly referred to as ’open cell structure’. However, viscoelastic is more than this; the mattress is not only sensitive to weight but also to heat. The more heat that is applied the more the mattress will yield.
There should be one thing that will clue you up on whether or not it is breathable and that is molds. Molds tend to grow in a mattress that does not effectively dissipate air. Latex is the best when it comes to being mold-resistant. Innerspring is still predisposed to the formation of these unwanted organisms so the air circulation inside the mattress is not as remarkable.
